Born in 1993 in the UK on the largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey, Charlie Carrel, on his poker nickname Epiphany77, is now one of the young hopes of the world of poker. In 2015 he was even nominated for the title Rising Poker Star.

Charlie Carrel’s story seems drawn from a movie script. He made a $15 deposit on a famous online poker site and turned them into over $500,000 by playing online poker cash games and sit and go poker games.
Carrel has started playing more live tournaments since 2014 and it wasn’t long before he started dominating live tournaments. In November 2014, he made his first six-figure win by winning the grand final of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour, counting $170,950.

In 2015 he plays in the 11th edition of EPT Monte Carlo and achieves major success by winning the €25,000 + 500 No Limit Hold’em – High Roller 8 Handed tournament, defeating a field of 215 top players and earning a prize in a value of $1,241,682. His opponents include names such as Steve O’Dwyer, Dan Smith and Dominik Nitsche.
In February 2016 he participates in the UKIPT 5 in Dublin, a tour of the EPT 12 circuit, achieving in two days two exceptional results. First place in the €25,000 + 750 Event16 No Limit Hold’em High Roller – 8 Handed tournament where he won $264,816, and then just a few days away he wins first place in the €10,000 + 200 Event36 No Limit Hold tournament’em High Roller – 8 Handed where he wins the heads-up, at the final table, the runner-up, Dominik Nitsche.
The successes bring other successes and only in a few months he goes back to Monte Carlo where in Event 54 he plays the €5,000 + 300 No Limit Hold’em – 8Max tournament. Here he defeated the Moldavian Pavel Pleșuv and awarded his prize of $197,875.
In August this year „hits” the biggest career gain so far: $1,601,853. Take part in the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series tournament, with a buy-in of 50,000 pounds and face another 65 players for the biggest success of his career. Jason Koon is the runner-up this time. This triumph propels him to 3rd place in the ranking of the most prolific English players of all time, being surpassed only by the legends Stephen Chidwick and Sam Trickett. Total winnings from live tournaments has now a total of $9,571,775!
He lives in London and does charitable works by helping various causes. In addition, it is now focusing to helping other young people who want to become professional poker players. His coaching focuses on micro and small-stakes poker.
