As we are accustomed with each tournament held by PokerFest, the Bucharest stage exceeded any expectation, managing to exceed the number 300. No less than 339 players paid the buy in to the Main Event. Of course, the show was also present, especially at the final table where the well-known Spectro won the 1st place and the Cup of the event.

Day 1A of the PokerFest Main Event recorded 114 entries, but even since the beginning there were expectations for more than 300 registrations on day 1B.

Even if this was the first day of the tournament, top national poker names appeared at the gaming table. Some of the top players that were present in the iridium hall of Howard Johnson Hotel are: Dan Murariu, Mihai Manole, Andrei One, Alin Grasu, Iulian ‘riga’ Ruxăndescu, Cristi Dragomir, Abdula Atila, Florin Călin, Dany ‘kman’ Parlafes, Robert Cezărescu, Andrei ‘phisherman’ Pescaru, Anton Ionel, Robert Văduva and other famous names for the PokerFest circuit.

Day 1B of the Main Event came with 225 registration, forming a total field of no less than 399 players registered in the PokerFest Bucharest Main Event and setting a new record of participation.

339 is a number that greatly exceeds 300, the number of participants for which the organizers were hoping for. With this number, PokerFest straightens its position, claiming if needed, to be an offerer tournament for the national and international poker players.

The number of foreign players present at the tournament is still small (under 20), which means that the prospects, at least in terms of the presence Romanian immigrants is one that gives hope  to the organizers for the future.

However, countries Italy, France, Sweden, Israel, Turkey, Greece and China were represented P to PokerFest.

Day 2 of the Main Event was a long and extremely difficult one for all the participants. The most important and spectacular eliminations already and happened a day before.

Many of the well known names have been eliminated from the competition, but the race of the day didn’t lack in challenges for the participants. The game was stopped with 55 players at the tables in blinds of 1,500-3,000 with ante 300.

Toni Judeţ, Michael Stoenescu, Mihai Manole, Iulian Ruxăndescu are just few of the famous names who have remained in the game for the next day.

After a long and hard 3rd day, for everybody, and after tougher and tougher eliminations the finalists of the most difficult PokerFest tournament so far were: Alexandru Boț, Eusebiu Jalbă, Constantin Petrică, Zheng Zhipping, Dragoş Sabău, Mihai Manole, Bogdan Ionescu and Cristinel Liţă.

The final table consisted of four strong names of the Romanian Poker, Mihai Manole – probably the best tournament player in Romania, Bogdan „Katamax” Ionescu – a player for which the tournament game has no secrets, Cristinel Liţă – PokerFest finalist and champion, and last but not least, Zheng Zhipping – PokerFest finalist. For the other four players playing against there was nothing left to do but to remain motivated and try to win the Cup and the biggest pot of the game.

The Final

The final table lasted almost ten hours and the much titled Mihai Manole was in the spotlight, which was on the 6th in regard to chips number when he entered the table, but we say the 1^st in regard of experience that was proven during the 10 hours of final table.

He practiced a highly versatile game, managing to dazzle his opponents with the his game approach. In the beginning, Mihai played a tight game taking advantage of the safe hands and managed to increase his stack to over 1 million chips.

During all this time, the other players have been gradually eliminating one another, Dragoș Sabău eliminated Zeng Zhiping, A-K versus A-Q. Bogdan „Katamax” Ionescu, also one of the heavily favored to the title, started on the wrong foot by being bluffed three times by his opponents and eventually, he was removed when his Jacks couldn’t beat the Queens of Eusebiu Jalbă. Cristian Vișoiu had no greater success in dealing with Jalbă so six players remained in the tournament.

From this moment on Alexandru Boț was the one who cleaned up at the table of players, starting with Constantin Petrică, Dragoș Sabău and ending with George Liță. The task of eliminating the last player before heads up went to Mihai Manole who eliminated Eusebiu Jalbă when, on a table with two commune pairs and three black cards, all-in followed, and Manole played call. Jalbă had color with 6-3; Manole also had color but a better one, with the J-8.

In heads-up, in front of Boț were 4.4 million chips and Manole had 2.4 million chips, but within 30 minutes, he managed to overthrow of the situation without having to risk unnecessarily, without haste, with impenetrable thinking.

The cards that decided the winner of the Main Event at Pokerfest were 3-4, which with the cards on the flop formed a 6 straight and managed to defeat the pair of sixes of Alexander Boț.

With this victory, Mihai Manole won the biggest tournament ever organized by PokerFest and therefore he rose above the 338 players present at this stage.

Aşa cum am fost obişnuiţi de fiecare turneu organizat la PokerFest, etapa din Bucureşti a depăşit orice aşteptare, reuşind, să bată cifra 300. Nu mai puţin de 339 de playeri au plătit buy in-ul pentru participarea la Main Event. Desigur nici spectacolul nu a lipsit, mai ales de la masa  finală unde cunoscutul Mihai Manole s-a impus câştigând locul 1 şi cupa evenimentului.

Ziua 1A de la Main Eventul PokerFest a înregistrat un total de 114 intrări, dar incă de la început au existat aşteptări că ziua 1B va aduce un număr total de peste 300 de înscrieri.

Chiar dacă era prima zi a turneului, nume de top din pokerul nostru şi-au făcut apariţia la masa de joc. Câțiva din jucătorii de top care s-au prezentat în sala Iridium a hotelului Howard Johnson: Dan Murariu, Mihai Manole, Andrei One, Alin Grasu, Iulian ‘riga’ Ruxăndescu, Cristi Dragomir, Abdula Atila, Florin Călin, Dany ‘kman’ Parlafes, Robert Cezărescu, Andrei ‘phisherman’ Pescaru, Anton Ionel, Robert Văduva și alte nume consacrate din circuitul PokerFest.

Ziua 1B a Main Eventului a venit cu 225 de înscriși, fapt ce a dus la formarea unui field total la Main Eventul PokerFest București de nu mai puţin de 339 de jucători şi totodată un record de participare.

339 este cifra care face ca, 300, numărul de jucători prezenţi sperat de organizatori să fie cu mult depăşit. Cu acest număr, PokerFest îşi consolidează poziţia, afirmându-se, dacă mai era nevoie, ca fiind un turneu ofertant pentru jucătorii de poker din ţară şi străinătate.

Numărul jucătorilor străini prezenţi la turneu este unul încă mic (sub 20), ceea ce înseamnă că perspectivele, cel puţin în ceea ce priveşte prezenţa expaţilor este una care permite organizatorilor să fie încrezători pentru viitor.

Cu toate acestea, la PokerFest au fost reprezentate ţări precum: Italia, Franţa, Suedia, Israel, Turcia, Grecia sau China.

Ziua 2 a Main Eventului a fost o zi lungă şi extrem de dificilă pentru toţi participanţii. Cele mai notabile şi spectaculoase eliminări având loc în ziua precedentă.

Multe dintre numele de notorietate au fost eliminate din competiţie, însă întrecerea din această zi nu a fost lipsită de provocări majore pentru participanţi. Jocul s-a oprit cu 55 de jucători la mese, la blinduri de 1500-3000 cu ante 300.

Toni Judeţ, Mihai Stoenescu, Mihai Manole, Iulian Ruxăndescu sunt doar câteva din numele cunoscute care au rămas în joc pentru următoarea zi.

După o zi a 3-a lungă şi grea pentru toţi participanţii şi după eliminari care mai de care mai dure, finaliştii celui mai greu turneu PokerFest de până acum au fost următorii: Alexandru Boț, Eusebiu Jalbă, Constantin Petrică, Zheng Zhipping, Dragoş Sabău, Mihai Manole, Bogdan Ionescu şi Cristinel Liţă.

Masa finală a avut în compoziţie patru nume care au confirmat în pokerul românesc, Mihai Manole poate cel mai bun jucător de turnee din România, Bogdan „Katamax” Ionescu, un jucător pentru care jocul de turneu nu are secrete, Cristinel Liţă, finalist şi campion PokerFest, și nu în ultimul rând, Zheng Zhipping, finalist PokerFest. Împotriva lor, celorlalţi patru jucători nu le-a rămas decât să rămână motivaţi şi să încerce să câştige cupa şi potul cel mare pus în joc .

Finala

Masa finală a durat aproape zece ore şi l-a avut în centrul atenţiei pe mult titratul Mihai Manole care s-a aşezat la masă pe locul 6 ca număr de fise, dar zicem noi locul 1 ca şi experienţă, lucru dovedit pe parcursul celor 10 ore cât a ţinut masa finală.

Mihai a practicat un joc extrem de versatil, el reuşind să îşi ameţească adversarii prin felul cum a abordat masa. La început, jocul practicat de Mihai a fost unul tight el profitând de mâinile sigure şi reuşind astfel să îşi crească stack-ul până la peste 1 milion de fise.

În tot acest timp ceilalţi jucători s-au eliminat rând pe rând, Dragoș Sabău l-a scos din joc pe Zeng Zhiping, A-K versus A-Q. Bogdan „Katamax” Ionescu, și el unul din favoriții la titlu, a început cu stângul, a fost bluffat de trei ori de adversarii săi și în cele din urmă a fost eliminat când valeții lui n-au putut bate damele lui Eusebiu Jalbă. Nici Cristian Vișoiu nu a avut mai mare succes în confruntarea sa cu Jalbă astfel că turneul a rămas în șase.

Din acest moment Alexandru Boț a fost cel care curăţat de la masă jucătorii, el începând cu Constantin Petrică, Dragoș Sabău şi terminând cu Cristinel Liță. Sarcina eliminării ultimului jucător înainte de heads-up i-a revenit lui Mihai Manole care l-a scos din turneu pe Eusebiu Jalbă când pe o masă cu două perechi la comun și trei cărți de negru, a intrat all-in, iar Manole i-a dat call. Jalbă avea culoare cu 6-3, Manole avea tot culoare, dar cu J-8, mai bună.

La heads-up, Boț avea în faţă 4,4 milioane fise şi Manole 2,4 milioane, dar în numai 30 de minute, Mihai a reușit să răstoarne în favoarea lui situația, fără să riște inutil, fără să se pripească, jucând impenetrabil.

Cărţile care au dat câştigătorul Main Event-ului de la Pokerfest au fost 3-4, care cu cărţile de pe flop au format o chintă la 6 şi care a reuşit să bată perechea de şesari a lui Alexandru Boț.

Cu această victorie, Mihai Manole a reuşit să câştige cel mai mare turneu organizat de PokerFest şi astfel să se ridice deasupra celor 338 de jucători prezenţi la această etapă.
