The first stage of the third PokerFest season debuted on February 11, at Howard Johnson hotel, the Iridium hall, with a surprise prepared by organizers, namely, an event for the ladies with a buy-in of 200 euro second chance, and even though the event hasn’t brought extremely many participants. It was a great media success. Another surprise for this season of PokerFest was Gina Pistol which became the Festival’s image and which participated actively in the PokerFest Ladies ‘ Event and a heads-up confrontation with well-known professional poker player Liz Lieu. Liz was another surprise prepared by the organizers for the Main Event’s participants, who had the opportunity to face her at the game table.

In addition to the ladies event, the participants of the PokerFest Bucharest have also had the opportunity to attend three super satellites on February 11, 12 and 13, all with buy-in of $ 230 and re-buy and addon options.

The PokerFest Bucharest also had 3 Side Events: one on February 12, which had a buy-in of 200 euro turbo second chance, on the 15th of February took place the second Side Event with a buy in of 330 euro knock out, and the last Side Event was held on 16^th of February with a buy-in of $ 350 and with the re-buy and addon options.

The Main Event of the festival started with 303 entries and lasted 5 calendar days. Sunday, February 17, was the day of the finals, when the happy finalists of  all tournaments met at the game tables. The nine ones remaining in the Main Event fought for PokerFest Cup and Grand Prize worth Euro 51,200. The final table of the event that took place on Sunday February 17, lasted over 9 hours and consisted of the following players: Marian Mitran, Andrei Grigoraș, Dan Murariu, Tiberiu Zanfirache, Robert Ștefan Mihai, Mihai Taizs, Narcis Olaru, Vlad Cojocariu. The event was eventually won by Marian Mitran, who although had started as chip leader was not the favourite. Thanks to his patience, tenacity and unpredictableness, Marian was able to resist the attacks of his much more experienced opponents – Dan Murariu şi Narcis Olaru, winning the Cup and the sum of money. O altă surpriză pentru acest sezon al PokerFest a fost Gina Pistol care a devenit imaginea festivalului şi care a participat în mod activ în cadrul PokerFest Ladies Event și la o confruntare heads-up cu binecunoscuta jucătoare profesionistă de poker Liz Lieu. Liz a fost o altă surpriză pregătită de organizatori pentru participanţii la Main Event care au avut ocazia să o confrunte la masa de joc.

Pe lângă evenimentul destinat doamnelor participanţii la PokerFest Bucureşti au avut ocazia să participe şi la trei super-sateliţi în datele de 11,12 și13 februarie, super-sateliţi al căror buy-in a fost de 230 lei cu posibilitatea de rebuy şi addon.

La PokerFest Bucureşti au avut loc şi 3 Side Event-uri: unul în data de 12 februarie care a avut un buy-in de 200 euro turbo second chance, în data de 15 februarie a avut loc al doilea Side Event cu un buy in de 330 euro knock out, iar ultimul Side Event a avut loc în data de 16 februarie având un buy-in de 350 lei cu opţiunea de rebuy şi addon.

Main Eventul festivalului a numărat la start 303 intrări şi a durat 5 zile calendaristice. Duminică, 17 februarie, a fost ziua finalelor, când s-au întâlnit la mese fericiții finaliști ai tuturor turneelor desfășurate. Cei nouă rămași în Main Event au luptat pentru cupa PokerFest și marele premiu în valoare de 51.200 euro. Masa finală a evenimentului care a avut loc duminică 17 februarie a durat peste 9 ore şi i-a aliniat pe următorii jucători: Marian Mitran, Andrei Grigoraș, Dan Murariu, Tiberiu Zanfirache, Robert Ștefan Mihai, Mihai Taizs, Narcis Olaru, Vlad Cojocariu. Evenimentul a fost într-un final câştigat de Marian Mitran care deşi pornise din poziţia de chip-leader nu pleca favorit. Datorită răbdării, tenacităţii şi imprevizibilităţii sale, Marian a reuşit să reziste atacurilor mult mai titraţilor săi opozanți – Dan Murariu şi Narcis Olaru, câştigând astfel cupa şi suma de bani pusă în joc. PokerFest Bucureşti a fost organizat fără reproş, structura şi buyin-urile evenimentelor au fost în aşa fel gândite încât să permită participarea unei plaje cât mai mari de jucători permiţând acestora să spere şi să încerce accederea şi, de ce nu, câştigarea Main Eventului.
