Take Me down
A term used in Craps to notify the dealer that you wish to remove your wager from the table.
Take Odds (taking odds)
1) This is a term used in Sports Betting for wagers placed on the team that is expected to lose. This type or wager allows for a greater payoff should the team win.
2) In Craps this is a wager on a pass-line after the come-out roll.
Take Off Man
This refers to a person in a cheating scam who makes rather larger wagers.
Take Off Pad
A term used to describe the area on the front at the base of the shoe where the cards are drawn from.
Taking the Odds
A term used in Craps in with a „wrong” bet is accepted at odds.
Taking the Count
A term used in casinos used to describe the action of a Pitboss when they stop a game to allow the security guards to do a inventory of the cash at the table.
Tap-Out
A term used to describe the total lose of a players bankroll or money.

Under
See over/under.
Under the Gun
1) A term used in Poker to refer to the player who must wager first.
2) A term used in card games to describe the player to the immediate left of the dealer.
Unit
This term describes the measure used by gamblers to set the size of their wager. Typically one unit is the tables minimum.
Unpaid Shill
This term refers to a steady low roller.
Up a Tree
Refers to the dealer’s face up card.
Upcard
In Blackjack refers to the dealer’s exposed card.

Value-for-money Bet
A wager in which the probability or a result is greater than the odds being offered.
Velvet
A term for winnings.
Vic
A short form for a victim or mark.
Vigorish (vig)
This term while synonymous with any house edge it is mostly used to describe a betting fee or commission charged by the casino.
VIP

Walk
1) Refers to a player who leaves a game.
2) Refers to the situation when a hotel has to turn away guests due to a lack of room.
Walk With
A term with refers to the maximum number of table chips a player is allowed to leave with.
Walk In
Refers to a person who requests a room without a reservation.
Walking on his heels
Refers to being dazed
Wash
Another term for breaking even.
Washing the cards
A term used to describe the action of the dealer when mixing multiple decks together on the table prior to the shuffle.
Way Bet
A term used in Keno to describe a ticket that is marked to combine number bets in various ways.
Way Off
Another term for defective.
Way Ticket
A term used in Keno to describe a ticket that combines groups of numbers into multiple bets.
Weed
A cheating technique in which bills are removed or palmed while handling money.
Weight
A cheating term used to describe loaded dice.
Welsh
A term used to describe the failure to pay a gambling bet or debt.
Welsher
A term used to describe a gambler who does not payoff their losses.
Whale

Wheel
A term used to describe the Roulette wheel.
Wheel Roller
A term for the Roulette dealer.
Whip Shot
This is a controlled shot used in Craps by the shooter. This throw allows the shooter to have the dice spinning when they leave ther hand and land on the table with a flat spinning motion so that the desired numbers remain on the top when the dice stop.
Whip Cup
This is a dice cup used by cheaters in Craps with it’s inner surface polished.
Whirl
A term used to describe a wager that covers the seven and the horn numbers in five equal amounts.
White on White
A term used to describe cards marked with small white markings on the white borders.
Whites
A term for one dollar.
Y
Yard
A term for one hundred dollars.
Z
Zero
In Roulette this is the thirty-seventh number on the roulette wheel.
Zero Out
A term used to describe the act of settling an account in full.
Zombie
This is a term used to describe a gambler who shows not outward sign of emotion.
Zukes
Another term for gratuities or tips.
