Exterior remodelling begins for Biloxi casinoÎncepe renovarea cazinoului Isle (Mississippi)
The $100 million transformation of the Isle Casino in Mississippi into the new Golden Nugget Casino Biloxi has gotten underway.
Bought by Landry’s Golden Nugget at the end of November, the gaming establishment is to undergo a significant refit ahead of a grand reopening later in the year.
All 720 of the properties attached hotel suites are to be renovated, while major remodelling of the outside of the casino and surrounding complex is also scheduled to take place, ensuring rebranding of the casino is at the forefront of the new aesthetic.
„The Golden Nugget transformation will rejuvenate Biloxi, much as we have helped rejuvenate downtown Las Vegas and most recently the Marina District in Atlantic City,” commented Tilman Fertitta, chairman of Landry’s – parent company of the Golden Nugget.
Meanwhile, gaming revenues in the state were shown to have fallen slightly late last year, with figures from the Mississippi Department of Revenue detailing a five per cent downturn during October to $83.5 million.
Overall, the first ten months of last year were shown to have been slightly weaker than the same period in 2011 – falling short of the previous running total by $6 million.

Între timp, câştigurile din jocurile de noroc au scăzut uşor, spre finalul anului trecut, Mississippi Departmen of Revenue spunând că, în luna octombrie, procentul a scăzut cu 5% până la 83.5 milioane $.
Per total, în primele zece luni ale anului trecut, câştigurile s-au dovedit a fi mai mici, decât în aceeaşi periodă a anului 2011, scăzând cu aproape 6 milioane $.
