An unwritten rule of the bettors say this: you have conquered a trophy? You’re favorite to win in the next season.

This rule does applies also to the odds of the each of the five large European Championships. Bookmakers, all in the same key, see as favorite to win the next championship the exact same team which has proven to be winner in the previous season. Let’s take them one by one:

Premier is the most nip-and-tuck

The English Championship is the most watched around the world and has every reason to be in this position. Always has at least five strong team which compete for the champion title and every season the winner can be any one of them. The balance of the Premier League is confirmed also by the list of champions of the last seven years: neither team has managed to win two titles in a row.

Last year, it was Chelsea’s turn to win. Therefore, prior to the first stage, the bookmakers have credited her with the first chance at conquering the trophy and this year Jose Mourinho’s players had odds around 2.80, but the wrong move made with Swansea, 2-2 score, led to the first changes in the order of favorites. Manchester City 3-0 in the first round with West Brom climbed to the pole position, having a share of 2.85 with Sportingbet. Instead, Chelsea is now listing 3.00. The results of the following stages might cause a new swap.

For the title also compete with fair chances: Arsenal (5,50), Manchester United (6,50) and Liverpool (21,00).

A new season for Barcelona?

Every year, at the League, appears a business for two, to which Atletico Madrid tries from time to time to approach. Barcelona won the trophy last year with only two points in front of their rivals, Real Madrid. Therefore, the Catalans start as favorites this season, with a rate of 1.67 with Stanleybet..

Real Madrid will be the main competition: the Galactics enjoy a 2,60 odd and are determined to get back for the title that slipped between their fingers last season. The second team, Atletico Madrid, starts with the third chance and has a 15,00 odd to repeat the success registered in 2014. Valencia and Sevilla also enjoy theoretical chances, both teams having an odd of 41,00 for an eventual success . The remaining teams are not taken into account, each with odds exceeding the 100,00 landmark.  The first round of Primera Division will take place on august 23.

Bayern is heading towards the 23rd crown

Bundesliga appears to be a Championship at Bayern’s mercy. The team coached by Pep Guardiola came into prominence over the past three seasons and starts as the great favorite of the new championship. Betcafe Arena gives them a minuscule odd to become champions: 1.10. Basically, Bayern should earn the title without worries, having no opponent to be afraid off.

The Vice Champion of the previous season complies with the unwritten rule of the bets, being on the second place at odds: 15,00 for Wolfsburg to finish in first place. After a season in which the team was trembling on the last place, but it also had a spectacular comeback, Dortmund will start with the third chance: an odd of 20.00.  Borussia’s performance remains to be seen, considering that at the end of the season they lost Jurgen Klopp, the coach who brought them two titles and a Champions League final.

For the title also compete with fair chances: Monchengladbach  Bayer  Levursken,(both with the odd of 40.00) and Schalke 04 (50.00 odd). The first stage of the Bundesliga will take place on 14-16 august.

At Juve’s mercy

A Series also has a definite favorite: Juventus. The Champion of the past four years seems to be heading  toward its fifth consecutive trophy in the new season. The Champions League finalist has a an odd of 1,68  to finish in first place. Rome seems to be the main threat this year too, with an odd of 7,00. Inter could return into the battle for the title after several disappointing seasons and it is credited with a 7.50 odd. Follows Napoli (11.00), Milan (13.00), Lazio (18.00) and Fiorentina (31,00). All odds are from Stanleyet. The new A Series season will start on august 23rd.

The PSG Giant

In France, things seem to be clear: PSG will conquer a new trophy. And it will do it outright. Being the most redoubtable team and the only one that invests massive amounts of money in transfers, Parisians should not be concerned. Sportingbet offers them an odd of 1.10 to win the title, which seems to be just a formality. Because surprises can occur anytime, here are the odds for the other teams entering this championship, teams which could make the fight for 1st place harder: AS Monaco (10.00), Lyon (17.00), Marseille (34,00). The first round of Ligue 1 was already played, while PSG started off with a victory: 1-0 away at Lille.
