A UK ticket holder has won a record jackpot of £195 million in the EuroMillions lottery.
The winning numbers were 6, 23, 27, 40, 41, with 2 and 12 selected for Lucky Star numbers. It is also the National Lottery’s biggest ever win. The previous record holder won £184 million in May this year.
The EuroMillions draw takes place twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays and is played in nine European countries. The total amount won in Tuesday’s draw was: £195,707,000.
If just one ticket holder won the top prize, they would be richer than Sir Tom Jones, who is worth £180 million, according to the 2022 Sunday Times Rich List.
This comes two months after Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucester won £184 million in the EuroMillions with one lucky ticket.
In total, 15 UK tickets have won a jackpot of over £100 million in National Lottery history.
