In a constantly changing gambling industry landscape, METRON SERV continues to offer what really matters: real, fast services that are 100% compliant with Romanian legislation. There are various other players who prefer to proclaim themselves the “gold standard,” while maintaining an absurdly small number of inspectors, which in our opinion is insufficient to provide quality services throughout the country.

We believe that quality services are not expressed in press releases, but in concrete certifications, national coverage, and real operational capacity. At a time when international interviews and pretentious headlines about “essential audits” are rolling in, but without clarity on the real resources in Romania, METRON SERV is doing its job. Quietly, efficiently, and in accordance with the law.

There is a large amount of incorrect (but insistent) information flooding the field. We will try to explain our point of view as clearly as possible:

1. MISINFORMATION REGARDING THE VALIDITY OF ACCREDITATION

METRON SERV issues Type Approvals and performs technical checks as an ISO/IEC 17020 accredited conformity assessment body, ISO/IEC 17025 accredited by the National Accreditation Body – RENAR, and ONJN Class II licensed as an official Conformity Assessment Body.

2. THE REALITY ON THE GROUND

In a recent article, a competing company proclaims its role as a “trusted inspection body” and talks about “values” and “vision.” It all sounds great—in theory.

In practice, however, more than 12 inspectors have recently left that company, choosing to work at METRON SERV – and these are the very people who laid the foundations for the inspection business when it first started in Romania.

At METRON SERV, we do not need to “consolidate our image” through international articles or resort to pompous statements about integrity. Furthermore, we cannot afford – nor is it in our nature – to misinform our customers or the market.

We have contracts. We have customers. We have final court decisions that clearly confirm that some of our competitors’ statements were untrue and biased.

In accordance with ONJN regulations, METRON SERV offers Type Approvals together with GLI (Gaming Laboratories International), thus ensuring the highest level of legal and international coverage for operators in Romania. These reports are recognized in over 480 jurisdictions worldwide, including the most regulated markets in the US, Europe, and Asia.

The collaboration with GLI began in 2023, when METRON SERV started its honorable and fruitful collaboration with this global technical certification giant. Through this strategic collaboration, METRON SERV brings to Romania not only GLI’s international expertise, but also the methodological rigor and global recognition that the local industry deserves.

GLI is the world’s largest testing and certification laboratory for gaming equipment, with over 35 years of experience and thousands of specialists working globally. Today, METRON SERV is the only entity in Romania that actively and officially collaborates with GLI in type approval, standardization, and technical compliance assessment processes.

In addition, METRON SERV inspectors undergo training and development programs through the international educational platform GLI University, thus ensuring a level of training aligned with the most demanding global requirements in the industry.

METRON SERV has developed its own digital platform that allows certificates to be issued in the shortest possible time. While some competitors boast of “rigorous processes” and “tradition” – and seem to have remained stuck there – we believe that technology and speed are essential for a modern industry. For this reason, we have invested heavily in digitizing the company.

Instead of expressions such as “product impartiality” – an ambiguous translation that has recently been circulating in the Latin world – we prefer the accuracy of results, clarity of regulation, and proven compliance.
