Covid-19 cases reported in Macau have dropped to zero for nine consecutive days.
All results of the 14th round of testing across the city were negative, leading to the reopening of leisure facilities such as beauty salons, gyms, dine-in restaurants and other food establishments.
All of the above-mentioned facilities, as well as many others, will be open to the public from today, 2 August.
Under the previous executive order, all venues, including cinemas, theatres, indoor amusement parks, saunas, health clubs, bars and nightclubs, swimming pools and any other place that allowed indoor gatherings had been closed to the public.
To enter any establishment, customers will have to wear a protective mask and show proof of a valid negative result from a screening test carried out within the last three days.
The Macao health authorities are expected to publish in the coming days a detailed guide with all the relevant requirements for the health sector.
