Casino Inside 142, an excellent top of topics

142 is an edition of top topics! From gambling to social responsibility and sports support, to topics after ICE 2024 or those concerning our industry issues, and ending with macro-economics and public relations topics. The March issue of Casino Inside offers an interesting kaleidoscope of topics, all of them of interest to any company working in our industry.

In the Cover Story we offer you a very interesting interview with Sebastian Ionescu, General Manager of Magnumbet’s Online Division and Ana-Maria Mărculescu, Operational Director of the Retail Division of Magnumbet. MAGNUM and MAGNUMBET are developing both in retail and online guided by the same vision and goal: a top gaming experience both in online and retail for players. We invite you to browse through this material to better understand this vision and to see how, from close up, the plans are becoming reality.

Following the invitation of our magazine, the new President of the ONJN, Mr. Gheorghe-Gabriel Gheorghe, offered us an interview in which we wanted to provide you with an informative material directly from the source about the main issues that are troubling our industry, such as the digitalization of the institution, the re-establishment of the Advisory Council, the reorganization of the Office, about AWPs, about Responsible Gaming or about the “black list” of gambling websites and many other topics. We invite you to read it.

Gabriel Biriș, lawyer, Partner at Biriș Goran SPARL and a reputed tax expert, has made in the pages of this issue an analysis of the Romanian economy, one that is internally torn by inflation, decreasing foreign direct investments, political turmoil expected from the four rounds of elections, but at the same time subject to external actions such as the expected economic crisis in the European Union or the war in Ukraine. We have discussed issues such as inflation, last year’s tax increases and their impact on the economy, the 1% turnover tax (“IMCA”) on companies with revenues of over €50 million per year and the possible rise in the exchange rate above 5 lei/euro.

Codrin Scutaru, CEO Public Affairs Solutions, manages a very positive and argued approach to the way our industry positions itself in society. A vision that is more than a PR-istic one but also a realistic and assumed one. A successful exercise that should be taken up by all of us when we go out and represent the gaming industry when dealing with society or the authorities, when we are called to account. The Romanian gambling industry is more than a way of exploiting a vice; it is a story of resilience, innovation and strategic insight.

142 is yet another editorial success for our team and the way a trade magazine should present itself to its readers regardless of the field in which it operates.
