The first edition of the Mystery Bounty Oltenia tournament exceeded all expectations at the Gentlemen’s Poker Club Craiova, setting a new club record.
The one-day tournament drew 177 entries, a remarkable number for a club in its first year of operation. The players’ enthusiasm turned a guaranteed prize pool of 35,000 lei into a final prize pool of 64,880 lei—nearly double the initially guaranteed amount.
The winner of the inaugural event, Alexandru Mustață, took home 11,500 lei after a solid performance at the club’s tables in Mall Promenada.
With the anniversary event scheduled for July, the club seems determined to break its own record.

Gentlemen’s Poker Club Bucharest is adding one of the club’s most popular series to its July calendar: the HOT 3-Day FreeBuyIn, a multi-day tournament with a cumulative format and a guaranteed prize pool of 50,000 lei.
What sets the HOT 3-Day apart from most tournaments on the market is its extremely low entry fee. Players who register before the start of the qualifying days pay only 30 lei, one of the lowest buy-ins for a tournament with this level of GTD in Romania. After the start, the buy-in increases to 140 lei, and re-entry is available for 100 lei until the end of Level 10.
The series takes place over three consecutive starting days—July 27, 28, and 29 at 7:00 p.m.—followed by the Final Day on July 30 at 6:00 p.m. The accumulator format means that every chip won during the qualifying days counts directly toward the final, rewarding consistent players and long-term strategies.
The Final Day adds an extra competitive element: the top two chip leaders at the start of the day each receive 1,000 lei, regardless of the tournament’s final outcome. Players who did not qualify through the starting days can enter the final directly for 600 lei, receiving a stack of 100,000 chips.
