Beyond Gaming: WINBET’s Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy Supporting Communities
In a market where the Romanian gaming and betting industry is undergoing rapid maturation, corporate responsibility has become a key indicator of credibility and long-term sustainability. For WINBET Romania, CSR is not an add-on initiative; it is a strategic pillar shaping the way the company builds meaningful relationships with society and the communities in which it operates.

WINBET
In 2025, the local gaming and betting sector navigated a complex environment marked by increased regulatory pressure and a growing need for operational agility. In such a climate, mature brands are defined not only by commercial performance but also by their ability to maintain balance, strengthen their social relevance, and build long-term trust.
For WINBET Romania, corporate social responsibility is not a peripheral effort, but a core component of the brand’s identity and engagement undertaken with commitment and seriousness toward the communities it serves.
“2025 was a challenging year for Romania’s gaming and betting industry, shaped by additional pressures and regulatory adjustments that tested operators’ ability to adapt. Even so, at WINBET we believe the true measure of a brand is not reflected solely in numbers and performance, but also in how it stays connected to its community, especially during demanding times.
Beyond entertainment, we see it as our responsibility to play an active role in society by contributing concretely to the wellbeing of the communities where we operate. Through sports-focused projects and direct support initiatives, we invest in measurable impact—supporting youth education, access to essential resources, and fostering a culture of solidarity.”
– Mark Adonia, Chief Executive Officer, WINBET Romania
“For WINBET, CSR is not a branding exercise, it is a commitment built with rigour, impact and continuity.”
– Mark Adonia, CEO, WINBET Romania

CSR as a Strategy: Two Pillars, One Objective – Real Impact
In a sector where technological innovation is constant, true differentiation is increasingly built on reputation. This is why corporate social responsibility has become a maturity benchmark and a credibility standard for operators. WINBET approaches CSR as a coherent direction—one driven by small steps translated into results and long-term continuity.
WINBET’s 2025 CSR strategy focused on two core pillars:
- Change through Sports – sport as a tool for education, discipline, and the development of future high-performance athletes;
- Giving Back to the Community – direct support for vulnerable communities through timely interventions delivered with relevance and dignity.
Together, these two pillars work in synergy, communicating a consistent belief: meaningful impact is built through presence, consistency, and sustained commitment.
During the holiday season, WINBET brought this strategy to life through two clearly defined initiatives: one on the sports field, the other on the long roads of solidarity. Both delivered the same outcome: stronger communities and one essential message – it is possible.
Change through Sports
The AS Cosmo Sports and WINBET Future Begins on the Pitch
Starting in 2025, WINBET Romania has been actively supporting AS Cosmo Sports in Bucharest through a local sponsorship initiative that allows children and youth to practice organized football in an educational and inclusive environment. Born out of a rare combination of passion for sport and a genuine commitment to education, the club emerged at a time when school sports and grassroots participation were in decline, providing a sustainable alternative to the major academies in the capital.
For many children, AS Cosmo Sports represents more than training sessions and matches: it is a structured environment focused on development, discipline, and self-confidence, with a clear objective—growth through sport and, for those with talent, access to performance pathways. The results confirm that the model delivers impact: young players developed within the club have already been selected by teams from Romania’s top leagues, including Pătrașcu Carol (FC Metaloglobus – Liga 2), Gavrilă Darius (FC Dinamo – Liga 1), Răzvan Dana (CS Dinamo), and George Lovin, a national champion in the 2018–2019 season.
Within the framework of the 2025 sponsorship project, the partnership between WINBET and AS Cosmo Sports included a special moment during the winter holidays.—bringing together festive joy, the energy of sport, and the belief that progress is built over time, step by step.
The atmosphere was further enhanced by the presence of two players from a prestigious Bucharest team, who brought more than just joy. They delivered a valuable lesson in maturity: performance is earned through work, consistency, and responsibility. For AS Cosmo Sports, the initiative was a strong vote of confidence. For WINBET, it reaffirmed a strategic conviction: investing in grassroots sport is one of the most meaningful investments in the future.
“When you support grassroots sport, you invest in discipline, confidence, and the generations to come.”e

Giving Back to the Community
“Christmas on Wheels”: Solidarity Reaching Vulnerable Communities
“Christmas on Wheels” is not just a seasonal Christmas initiative—it is a story that begins now. Built with purpose, it reflects a strong internal culture: WINBET believes in solidarity through small actions that carry real meaning. It is the result of a team mobilising to transform the spirit of the holidays into a concrete intervention delivering genuine support where it matters most.
This Christmas, WINBET turned that idea into a memorable caravan: a mini-van customised with holiday visuals, driven by “Santa Claus,” travelled 279 kilometres across Teleorman County, reaching rural communities where the holidays are often defined by scarcity, not spotlight moments. In partnership with the NGO Banca de Bine, the initiative provided children and families with practical support, clothing, toys, and a warm Christmas meal.
More than a delivery, the caravan was a presence. It stopped, listened, and witnessed real stories. Because sometimes the most meaningful gift is not a package, but the feeling that someone reaches you, shakes your hand, and simply tells you: you are not alone.

“Christmas on Wheels” was not about the miles travelled it was about WINBET’s commitment to reducing the distance between people.
“Real impact begins with dignity: offering what is needed, in the right way, with respect. I coordinated Christmas on Wheels with that rare kind of emotion you feel when you know what you’re doing truly matters. Our journey through Teleorman wasn’t just a route on a map – it was an encounter with realities you simply can’t ignore once you’ve witnessed them. We met children who found joy in a simple hug, families who received essential items with deep gratitude, and people for whom our presence meant more than a package; it meant they were not invisible. I believe true impact starts with dignity, giving what is necessary, fairly, and with respect. And for WINBET, CSR isn’t a nice message, it’s a promise set in motion: to show up, for real, when it matters most.”- Sorina Marin, Event Manager, WINBET Romania

WINBET – and the Responsibility That Lasts
WINBET demonstrates that CSR becomes truly relevant when a company’s values are consistently backed by tangible action. From the pitch where children build confidence, to the long journeys that carry solidarity where it is genuinely needed, the brand proves that community involvement is about presence and meaningful gestures. In the end, a brand is not defined by what it promises—but by the impact it leaves behind.
