In the last 15 years, I’ve tried all sorts of betting systems and strategies. I’ve had period of times when I succeeded and with Easy Money, but also playing only high odds single bets. However, the classic methods are already well-known and explained in detail on hundreds of web pages, so I decided to share with you a few of the most efficient strategies to fill out a ticket that I have tried in recent years.
The balanced ticket strategy:
Regardless of the level at which you find yourself in your “punter career”, the budget you have or the time you allocate to analyzing matches, this is one of the simplest and most balanced methods to build a betting ticket that has real chances of success. On the ticket you will add:
- 1 selection on a star with an odd less than 1.50
- 2 selections on the Under/Over types of bets 2.5 goals
- 2 selections of the Double Chance-type, 1X or X2
The mean odd for such tickets should be somewhere around 7, which will mean that in the context in which you play a ticket per day with the same stake every time, you will need only one winning ticket per week to break even. Playing the balanced ticket strategy, you don’t need to think about the fact that you’ll be gaining great performances, but rather that you’ll improve your winning tickets percentage.
The cautious ticket with bets on goals strategy:
This is one of the more convenient strategies to create a ticket, especially when you don’t have much time to spend on analyzing matches in detail, or to be used on days when prognoses on 1X2 seem to be unpredictable. For example, I have used this approach most often on Thursdays, when Europe League is played. What it is about:
- You add 5 selections on the ticket, no system, no bankers
- You only play on the Under 3.5 goals or the Over 1.5 goals markets
- You bet on odds greater than 1.25 and it is preferred that you include 1-2 odds higher than 1.45
For example, if we have 3 bets Under 3.5 with 1.29, 1.55 and 1.60 odds, together with 2 bets Over 1.5 with 1.26 and 1.28 odds, our ticket would have a 5.15 odd, which is not bad at all under the circumstances of playing 5 selections with a high likelihood of success.
The Tickets with 2 bankers and one X Strategy:
In order to play this strategy, you have to find the two prognoses of the day which have the highest probability of success and which can be played for an odd of approximatively 1.30. Any type of bet can be played, however, it is indicated that bets be made on double chance-type bets, Asian disability, under 3.5 goals, over 1.5 goals, marked goal etc., or on stars such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Bayern Munich etc.
Now, besides the two very sure prognoses, you will also add one X on the simple ticket. If the odd of this prognosis is no lower than 3.00, the ticket should have a total odd greater then 5.00. Now, you have the option of keeping the 2 bakers and adding other tickets with other Xs. Practically, if you make out 2 out of 10 such tickets with fixed stakes, you will, worst case scenario, recover your investment, however, usually you will also get a profit between 5% and 25%, depending on the played odds.
However, here, we also have the option to apply a progressive money management system, such as the fixed profit method, the Fibonacci, Martingale etc., which allows you to generate larger and faster winnings, but which also imply greater risks. It all depends on your history and on how many consecutive failures you can handle.
The Tickets with the on Xs system Strategy:
You play 2/5 or 3/6 selections on ties.
In the case of 2 out of 5, you will get your stake back, and each additional X won turns into profit. Of course, it also depends on the calculation and the played odds.
In the case of 3 out of 6, you will get a profit of at least 50%, if you haven’t played odds lower than 3.10. If you get all 6 results, you can earn an odd higher than 34, however this will not happen too often.
Concurrently, a variation of this strategy can also be played, without a system, using the “No bets on the guest/home team”, which functions on the same basis as the Draw No Bet, only that instead of excluding the X, this type of bet excludes the victory of one of the teams. Of course, we will choose to play the bet option which excludes the victory of the team which seems to have great chances of imposing itself, even though we are aiming for the tie.
We shouldn’t expect fantastic winnings when playing such tickets, however, if we avoid the matches ending in significant surprises, then we should be earning a profit or at least get our stakes back. On a ticket with 4 selections we can get a total odd of about 8, but we will rarely guess all 4 results. Most often, it happens that one or two of the matches end in a tie, but the circumstances in which the winning odds are usually between 1.60 and 3.00, the investment is really not bad for the relatively low failure risk of the ticket.
All strategies aiming at on-X bets must be helped by a serious analysis. Besides respecting the previous season’s statistics and those of the current campaign, the punter must try to also identify those teams whose players and coaches had the habit of settling for a point.
Currently, I use this strategy occasionally, as I focus on simple tickets with 2-3 medium odds prognoses, as well as on individual bets with high odds. However, the 2 bankers and one X strategy remains one of my favorites.
