Deal Between Belle Corp & Melco for a new resort in ManilaBelle Corp și Melco vor construi un nou complex în Manila
Belle Corp has confirmed its deal with Macau Casino Company Melco Crown Entertainment for the running of the $1 billion integrated casino resort in Manila which is due to open later in 2013. The agreement was reached in Octover 2012 but was never formally finalized. The Belle Grande Manila Bay, which has about 6 hectares of land area and will have 250,000 square meters of gross floor area, including about 20,000sq m of gaming space with a capacity to hold 1,600 slot machines and 300 to 320 tables.
Willy Ocier, Belle vice chairman of Belle Corp said, “We are confident that MCE will bring its expertise in developing and operating a highly successful integrated resort complex and strongly contribute to promoting the Philippines as one of Asia’s premier tourism destinations.”
Belle under the October agreement would co-licensee and be the owner of the site’s land and buildings, while MCE will be a co-licensee and operator of all the facilities within the resort complex. Belle Grande Manila Bay, care va fi amplasat pe aproximativ 6 hectare de teren, va avea aproximativ 250.000 de metrii pătrați si ce va include aproape 20.000 m2 de spațiu de gaming cu o capacitate totală de 1.600 de aparate slot machine și aproximativ 300 de mese de joc.
Willy Ocier, vicepreședinte al Belle Corp declară, “Suntem convinși că MCE își va aduce contribuția la dezvolatarea și operarea cu succes a complexului și că va contribui major la promovarea Filippinelor ca una dintre destinațiile turistice de top ale Asiei.”
Conform contractului, Belle va avea din octombrie co-licență și va fi proprietarul terenului și al construcțiilor, în timp ce MCE va avea de asemenea co-licență și va fi operatorul tuturor facilităților aflate în complex. Planul prevede ca ambele părți să efectueze investiții egale în proiect.
