Eldorado 777 Poker Club opened its doors in 2014 within the premises of the Eldorado Deluxe 777 in Oradea. Zoltán Karai, executive director of SC Clasik Poker Ltd., gave us details about the daily activities of the club
What was the reason you opened a poker room in Oradea?
The Deluxe, premium gaming hall was operating for a year when the owners of the company realized that it would be a waste of the potential of the building not to offer a wider range of services. By today it is confirmed that the decision was right as poker players and the slot players make a good team together.
What services do you offer to poker fans?
The poker room awaits customers every day starting at 7 pm, and is open until the completion of daily tournaments and cash games. Our club is equipped with 7 poker tables, a separate VIP room and an exclusive bar where players can relax during breaks.
The training of the staff is playing an important role in the success of the poker room. Can you confirm this?
Absolutely. If we compare the gambling halls and the poker saloon, here the players are in constant contact with the staff, the club’s success largely depends on the employees, and therefore we give a major importance to training our colleagues.
We initiate courses regularly, which are run by the poker club manager, and besides acquiring knowledge about the game, our colleagues receive training on how to communicate with the players as well, since this is an important aspect of being a croupier.
Thus we can make sure that in real situations they will live up to expectations.
Where the majority of your customers comes from?
Daily tournaments and cash games in particular attract clients from Oradea and surroundings.
Instead, guaranteed tournaments with big prizes are very attractive for players from other cities, both in Romania and in Hungary. Due to specially large guaranteed prize tournaments we managed to attract players even from cities like Budapest, Debrecen, Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara and the list continues.
What do you take into consideration when you plan the tournaments schedule of the club?
Through our tournaments we are trying to target all types of players with different playing styles, and our agenda is carried out in accordance with the feedbacks of our customers which for us is very important.
Our guaranteed prizes are a great motivation for our regular players, to whom we provide one more possibility to earn points to get on our monthly leaderboard.
Normally at least once a month or at the festive and various seasonal promotions, we organize the largest and most important tournaments of the club with extremely high prizes guaranteed.
You mentioned earlier that you also organize Cash Game in the poker room?!
Yes, our club organize both No Limit Texas Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha cash game according to the demand of the players.
Although the stakes for the cash games are chosen depending on the players present, we have small and high-stakes cash tables daily.
Will the poker room be included in the marketing campaigns, so typical for the group of
companies?
The principle guiding line of our marketing activities is represented by those long-term promotions or even the promotions conducted throughout the year, wanting to emphasize our VIP clients’ loyalty. The main promotions carried out in the gaming halls – like the current campaign, ELDORADO 777 SPACE PROJECT – are extended for the poker club also, which frames our entire annual promotional activity, including the tournament schedule.

Care a fost motivul pentru care ați deschis o sală de poker în Oradea?
Sala de jocuri Deluxe premium funcționa deja de un an când patronii societății au hotărât ca ar fi o pierdere pentru acest potențial al clădirii să nu ofere o variantă mai largă a serviciilor. Azi deja avem confirmarea că decizia a fost corectă pentru ca jucătorii de poker și cei din salon fac o echipă bună împreună.
Cu ce servicii îi așteptați pe iubitorii jocului de poker?
Sala de poker își așteaptă clienții zilnic începând cu orele 19, și este deschisă până la finalizarea turneelor zilnice și încheierea jocurilor de cash. Clubul nostru de poker are 7 mese în dotare, o cameră separată VIP și un bar exclusivist în cadrul căruia jucătorii se pot relaxa pe durata pauzelor.
Un rol important în succesul unei săli de poker îl are și pregătirea personalului. Puteți confirma acest aspect?
Absolut. Dacă facem o comparație între sălile de jocuri și salonul de poker, aici jucătorii sunt în contact permanent cu personalul, succesul clubului depinzând în mare măsură de angajați, de aceea acordăm o importanță majoră instruirii colegilor noștri.
Inițiem în mod regulat cursuri conduse de managerul clubului de poker, iar pe lângă însușirea cunoștințelor legate de joc, colegii noștri beneficiază și de instruire cum să comunice cu jucătorii, acesta fiind un aspect important în meseria de crupier. Astfel, putem avea certitudinea că în situațiile reale aceștia se vor ridica la înălțimea așteptărilor.
De unde provine marea majoritate a clienților dumneavoastră?
Turneele zilnice și jocurile de cash atrag în special clienții din Oradea și din împrejurimi. În schimb, turneele cu premii mari garantate, sunt foarte atractive pentru jucătorii din alte orașe atât din România, cât și din Ungaria. Datorită turneelor mari garantate am reușit să atragem jucători chiar și din orașe ca Budapesta, Debrecen, București, Cluj, Timișoara și lista continuă.
De ce țineți cont atunci când organizați programul pentru turneele organizate în cadrul clubului?
Prin turneele noastre încercăm să țintim toate stilurile de joc și toate categoriile de jucători, iar agenda noastră este realizată în concordanță cu părerea clienților noștri care, pentru noi, reprezintă un aspect foarte important.
Premiile noastre garantate sunt o mare atracție pentru jucătorii noștri regulari, cărora le asigurăm încă o posibilitate de câștig, printr-un sistem de puncte leaderbord.
În mod normal, cel puțin o dată pe lună sau cu ocazia sărbătorii sezoniere și a diferitelor promoții, organizăm cele mai mari și importante turnee din cadrul clubului cu premii extrem de atractive garantate.
Ați mentionat anterior că organizați și jocuri Cash Game în sala de poker?!
Da, în clubul nostru organizăm atât jocuri de cash game No Limit Texas Hold’Em, cât și Pot Limit Omaha în funcție de cererea jucătorilor.
Cu toate că mizele alese pentru jocurile de cash depind de tipul de jucători și de dorințele acestora, avem atât mese mici de cash, cât și mese cu mize mari.
Sala de poker va fi inclusă în campaniile de marketing, atât de specifice grupului de firme?
Coloana directivă a activității noastre de marketing o reprezintă acele promoții pe termen lung sau chiar pe tot parcursul anului, astfel dorind să accentuăm loialitatea clienților noștri VIP.
